1. Soil and water analysis: Six parameters of soil namely pH, EC, OC, N,P&K and five parameters of water namely pH, EC, SAR, RSC and Cl are analyzed in the lab. The rates for the analysis is Rs.200/- for each sample either soil or water. The farmers are provided with soil test reports.
2. Mobile advisory services: Need based and timely messages in local languages is regularly sent through mKisan portal
3. Field visits : Regular field visits are conducted both as part of the mandated activities of KVK and based on the demand of the farmers to diagnose and provide suitable suggestions for the problems.
4. Consultancy services: Farmers who visit KVK with farm related problems are provided with suitable solutions.
5. Seeds & planting materials : Seed production is taken up at KVK farm as well as in farmers field.
6. Extension literature and publications : Need based extension literature in local language such as folders, leaflets, pamphlets, training manuals etc are provided to the farmers who visit KVK/ attend training programme/ workshops. Also, package of practices of Agriculture, Horticulture, Sericulture and Animal Husbandry published by UAS, Bengaluru is available online and printed copies.
KVK is a nodal training centre to conduct DAESI programme implemented by MANAGE, Hyderabad in collaboration with SAMETI (South Karnataka).
KVK is conducting contact classes and examinations to the registered participants of one year diploma in agriculture and certificate courses offered under distance education mode by UAS, Bangalore.
